5 Foods That Make You Fat and Not Make You Fat

Prevent weight gain causing obesity is very possible, especially with controlling food intake. The study found there are five foods that can and can not make you fat. What?

A study conducted by researchers from Harvard School of Public Health found that reducing the intake of certain foods, sleeping 6 to 8 hours each night, exercise enough and turn off the television, can help reduce weight.

Researchers also found five foods were strongly associated with body weight and five other food-related weight loss on average.

"The message here that the type and quality of food and drink is very important," said Dariush Mozaffarian, MD, DrPH, associate professor of medicine and epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health, Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, as reported by WebMD, Saturday (06/24/2011).

In this study, researchers studied 120,000 participants for 4 years. Mozaffarian said that this new study shows how some lifestyle factors, including diet associated with weight loss long term.

The study found there are 5 types of foods that most weight gain and vice versa 5 foods that most can not gain weight, namely:

Foods that are most able to raise the weight

     potato chips
     Other processed potato
     sugary drinks
     Red meat is not processed
     processed meat


Foods that are least able to raise the weight

     vegetable
     Cereals
     Fruits
     Nuts
     yogurt



The study results were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

Do not Spit, If you want to Hide Age

In his research, scientists studied the methylation process of saliva in 34 twin pairs. Scientists studying the genome at which DNA methylation is associated with the age process. After identifying two or three genes with age-related methylation process, the researchers then match the results with the actual age of the participants.
Dr. Vilain says the findings are also significant potential to find out how the aging process occurs on the chronology of a person's actual age and how the environment also influence it.
"These findings pave the way for the discovery of drugs that are tailored to the characteristics of someone. Do drugs can slow the aging process is influenced by environmental changes or other dynamic changes, this is really exciting," said Dr Vilain.
Previously, scientists have also found several ways to detect disease using saliva. Saliva test is claimed to better represent the large number of hormones making it suitable to determine the condition of a person's hormones.

3. Red meat 

Red meat such as lamb, beef and ham, contain saturated fat, which is the form of fat that can increase inflammation, leading to the production of mucus.
Spicy and fatty meats, like sausage, bacon and bratwurst, may aggravate the symptoms of runny nose due to increased irritation. To avoid this risk, replace red meat with protein sources, such as beans, lentils, tofu, egg whites and fish.
Cold water fish, like salmon, mackerel, herring provide additional benefits of omega-3 fatty acids, ie healthy fat that may help reduce inflammation.


4. Some fruits and vegetables
